No-Knead Raisin Walnut Bread

A straightforward recipe for delicious raisin walnut bread. Great at the breakfast table or as a nice snack during the day. Try this recipe with our True California Walnuts!

 

 

What You'll Need​

  • 1 Dutch oven

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour

  • 0.5  teaspoon instant dried yeast

  • 3 tablespoons sugar

  • 3 teaspoons salt

  • 1.5 cups water

  • 1 cup raisins

  • 1  cup True California Walnuts, chopped

 


Putting it All Together

  1. Mix flour, sugar, yeast and salt in a bowl, and then add raisins and chopped walnuts.

  2. Gradually add water to mix until it becomes dough

  3. Put dough into oiled bowl and let rest for 12-18 hours.

  4. Take out dough, press the dough and release air. Shape dough and place on lined baking tray. Cover and let rest for 1 hour.

  5. ​Preheat oven at 220C and place dutch oven into oven for 15 minutes.

  6. Place dough into dutch oven. Cover dutch oven with lid and bake for 30-35 minutes.

  7. Cool and enjoy!

    Please Note: If you don’t have a dutch oven, you can put the bread dough on baking tray with a tray of water at the bottom of the oven. You can also substitute all-purpose flour for bread flour.
